Website update: dashboards and custom codes

We are announcing new MCreators website update. We have added user dashboards, new content types and changed layout of some panels on the website. Hit read more to see what else has been changed and to tell us what you think about the update.

The first thing we have changed is that we have implemented user dashboards. Here you can make your personal homepage of MCreator. You can drag and drop blocks to make your own layout of website. You can access the dashboard by clicking on the link on the top of the webiste (user toolbar). You are also redirected to this page upon logging in.

We have added new content type - custom code! We have seen users posing custom codes for events on forums and we have decided to make this easier. Now users can post custom codes that can be used inside MCreator. You can see latest codes on the community pages or via main menu. We will do our best to remove all non-working code to make the best expirience possible.

There are also some other minor changes. If you like this update of the website, tell us about this in the comment section. Stay tuned as we are working hard to make MCreator for Minecraft 1.8 - you might get very beta version soon ;)

Yay! Like the new update, When i first saw dashboards I figured it was a website update. Website updates can be just as good as mcreator updates because this is where people come for help and to hang out. :) Dashboards add a great professional look to the website now people can share custom codes as well.

@xXMCXx Hehe... I am glad you like it :)

Nice But Q about code do we have to make Tutorial or just paste only codes ???

@Wes You don't have to but it is nice to do so because this actually makes custom codes usefull... I will also add video option to the forms soon.

We need an option to add spoiler html code. I heard all it is
the content
I feel like this would definitively make a good edition to descriptions, i tried doing it until I realized it doesn't support it. sad face--->>> :*{

@xXMCXx I have added support for spoilers. Inside modifications posts and custom codes can now one use spoilers :)

I have discovered how to fix my error with blocks not working on the server, its caused by the code that makes the blocks rotate to face the player when placed down, it seems that the method to grab the player entity doesn't work serverside. My solution to this is to remove this code manually from each of my blocks while doing the final checks before completion. The code I am talking about looks like this by default: public void onBlockAdded(World world, int i, int j, int k){ EntityPlayer entity = Minecraft.getMinecraft().thePlayer; if(entity!=null&&world!=null){ int le = MathHelper.floor_double((double)(entity.rotationYaw * 4.0F / 360.0F) + 0.5D) & 3; world.setBlockMetadataWithNotify(i, j, k, le, 2); } world.scheduleBlockUpdate(i, j, k, this, this.tickRate(world)); } My solution is to replace this with this code: public void onBlockAdded(World world, int i, int j, int k){ world.scheduleBlockUpdate(i, j, k, this, this.tickRate(world)); } This fixes it and the mod works on servers again, the only downside for those who use the block rotates to face the place feature is that it wont do that however it does at least allow multiplayer for the mod, for me it isn't that big a deal that the blocks don't rotate so its fine for me, hope this helps and hope you guys fix this in future releases!
